For my birthday, I thought I would share one of my personal favourite poems, 'Element'—written and created by me.

ELEMENT

 I am a flame 
Watch me 
As I burn.

I am a raindrop

Falling

I drown.

I am the air

Suffocating

I can't breathe.

I am a leaf

Weak

I tear.

I am the light

Blind

I can't see.

I am a spirit

Floating

I find peace.
