DON'T EAT THE FOOD! |
"Welcome to Terminus. Those Who Arrive, Are Fried."
Well, that was an episode. I'm sure Hannibal is going to be pissed when he finds out he isn't invited to the welcoming BBQ at Terminus. Whine, anyone?

Take a Bite of This... |
After watching Daryl and Michonne being beaten up by the Rednecks Daryl was with and Carl almost being raped, Rick
shows off his brutal 'badass' father side and takes a bite of
revenge...literally. What this episode proved is that the Living are
worst than the Dead and that humankind is screwed!
Nowhere is safe and no one can be trusted. No man, woman or child is innocent and each person is a monster in their own way, even if it is to survive.
Speaking of traps, did you ever wonder what the point of the house Daryl and Beth stayed in with all the food was all about? Like Terminus, it was too good to be true. There were cans of food just lying around to 'fatten' them up, they were somewhat secure and then a random dog showed up on the doorstep sniffing them out, and later, a horde of zombies scare them out of the house and Beth is kidnapped, most likely ready to be turned into their next meal.
Rick was smart and figured out what was happening once he saw Glenn's backpack, the riot gear, the poncho and Hershel's watch. Even though one of their men was at gun point, the leader and his group didn't harm them, and the shooters on the roof purposely didn't shoot Rick, Carl, Daryl and Michonne. At first I thought they had a terrible aim, but then I realised they were shooting at their feet and luring them to a trap without 'ruining the meat', just like cattle.
The room lit with candles was probably my favourite part when introducing the new threat. You see the words "Never Again", "Never Trust", and "We First, Always" written on the walls and the room is filled with objects and belongings of people who have been killed and probably eaten. If I'm to guess, it's their trophy room; a room to 'honour' those who have forcefully given up their lives in order to keep the group fed. Either that or a room to respect those in their group who have died, but I'm going to stick with the first one I mentioned, it would make sense and be much more disturbing.
It was obvious to me that the group are cannibals so it didn't surprise me. I was happy to see Glenn, Maggie and the rest of group he was with, but then I wondered, "Where the hell is Carol and Tyreese?" Just as well they didn't get caught—not yet anyway. I'm hoping they witnessed what happened and will help them escape. Rick left the bag of weapons outside the gates of 'human flesh eaters' so it's possible they will come to the rescue.

The Irony of Trapping |
"This will be us, Coorrrl."
During one of the flashbacks, Rick teaches Carl how to catch food by luring their prey into a trap. Any 'meat', whether big or small, is good enough. Sound familiar? Welcome to Terminus...or is it, Terminate? It was a nice touch in my opinion to have added that flashback as it reflects their current situation. They're the prey, the meat and the dinner, and there's plenty of human to go around. It's St. John's all over again, except this time, it's a group and they're trapped.Speaking of traps, did you ever wonder what the point of the house Daryl and Beth stayed in with all the food was all about? Trophy Room? |

'What' Remains |
It's not just the Dead who want your flesh.
"Just...look at the flowers, Cannibals, look at the pretty flowers."

So what did you think of the season finale? Comment below and join the discussion! As for me, I enjoyed it and I can't wait to see what happens next. The introduction to the cannibalistic group will be interesting, I'm just waiting for Hannibal to show up at the dinner party. Where's the BBQ at?!
Bon appétit!
Agreed! Haha, yeah that's exactly right. Those cannibals don't know what they're in for. We saw Rick's brutal/inner zombie mode with Joe so he'll show them that they aren't afraid to 'bite back'. Me too. I hope they will see what's happening at Terminus and somehow find the bag Rick buried with all of the weapons and rescue them. Can't wait until October! Next season is going to be really interesting and intense!
